Shake, Rattle and Roll

OMG! We just had a huge earthquake about 10 minutes ago! I'm still shaking! Oh, the joys of living in California.

Okay, the news is saying that it was only a 4.7, but the epicenter was just 10 miles from me. It felt mammoth. It actually shattered the glass in my entertainment center, flung my cabinets open, knocked my special champagne bottles off the shelves, and terrorized my cats :( Luckily everyone is okay, but JEEZE!

Aww, Doyle just stood up on his back legs behind the couch and peeked over. He looked just like Puss in Boots from Shrek! Poor kitty! Time to go cuddle him...

  1. Hopefully everyone and everything is well!

That stinks about all your stuff breaking.

    Hope your kitties are ok.

  2. My parents had just landed at the airport and were walking to the car when it happened. Once they got home a surprising amount of things had fallen off the shelves, and the cats weren't very happy, somewhat surprising considering it was only a 5.0. I'm glad your ok though

  5. I was at the movies in Manhattan Beach. The theater shook good. People ran out of the theater but eventually came back. My cell phone started buzzing with messages from my Mom and Sister asking if I was okay. There was a part of the movie that I completely missed because of that earthquake. When I got home I had to make sure nothing was broken. Poor kitties though. My Sister has a cat and he was home alone. I got home first and I found him hiding in my Sisters room.
