Cameo Magic

I had never been a "shoe girl". I didn't care about the price or brand, just so long as the shoe took my 5'1 height to at least 5'5! That is, until the June 2008 issue of Harper's Bazaar.

Magic happened the day that the mailman brought the magazine, which was adorned with new mom, Nicole Richie. I remember it vividly, because it was just before my legendary Vegas trip (more on that later!) and I had high hopes of coming back with lots of money. That's why I allowed myself to fall head over heels for Giuseppe Zanotti's Cameo Design Bootie!
Haute? Check!
Whimsical? Check!

While my amazing Vegas extravaganza didn't end in a pile of riches, my desire for these $995 sexy "tall makers" did not waiver.

I never could find them in stores or online, so accepted the fact that I would probably never own them. But today, for some reason, I felt the urge to pull out that issue of Harper's Bazaar and stare at them again. This time, my internet search led to me a photo. That's something, right?! I tried ebay and found loads of Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, but not this magical pair.

If anyone has any leads, please let me know! I'm holding hope that the price has come down and there's one last pair out there waiting for me to buy them ... so I can put them on a shelf and simply stare at them ;)

P.S. Unconventional thought: I would secretly love to be proposed to with these shoes!

  1. trouble is when are 5 foot 2 (as i am) these kind of shoes only make you nearly normal height - my so called friend said i could wear these shoes if i need to paint the skirting boards

  5. Haha, your unconventional thought made me laugh out loud! Those are some really amazing shoes, though. I'm with you on not being too much of a shoe girl, but there's definitely some pairs of heels that change your mind, and that's one of them!

    now back to reality.

that's a wee bit much for a pair of shoes... unfortunately even my deepest desire wouldn't break for that much cash.

    altho, they are fab.

  11. Cutest. Heels. Ever! :-)

Since I assume they're around 4 inches, I couldn't wear them (2 1/2 is my limit), but man, those are really wonderful. Good luck finding a pair - don't give up!
