An orthopedic doctor.
Guess why.
I have nerve damage from high heels! How lame is that?!
Remember that awesome wedding I went to back in July? I couldn't find my go-to party shoes that are tried and true, so I donned a pair of new heels for the event. Well, the next day my toe went numb. Fast forward two months and it's still numb.
It's 5 weeks of anti-inflammatory pills and sneakers with orthopedic inserts. I'm stuck with my 5'1 height for the time being. Sigh

ughhh that sounds so un-fun! :( IM sorry. I'm sure I'll be doing the same thing. I'm only 20, wear heels all the time, and already have bunions...ewe i hate that word. hope ur toe gets better.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I don't wear high heels all the time, sorry to hear that :( I use high heels at work because it's a mandatory but when I go out I usually wear flat shoes even though I love high heels a lot! I only wear them for partying .. and dating :D
ReplyDeleteOh no! poor you. Guess what I've been doing this afternoon. When I finished work I made a beeline for the shoe stores and have been trying on mega-high heels, trying to convince myself that I will be able to walk in them, and that the bunion on my right foot wont mind one bit. I didn't actually make a purchase....ooooh its so tempting.
ReplyDeleteOH dear! Take care of yourself!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThat sucks! Sorry to hear that! I know you petite girls like a little heel, but at least there are some wonderful flat options out there right now... feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI have a similar problem... I tore my arches from over use and improper footwear and now am stuck with sneakers myself. If you're looking for some cute shoes that are comfy and have a little support, check out TOMS shoes. I have a pair and I just love them.
ReplyDeleteI'm only an inch taller so I know what you mean! Although once I had someone come up to me in the grocery store and say, "You're taller than I am, can you reach that for me?" I nearly died of happiness. I know that will never happen again. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope your toe makes a full recovery!
UGHH that sounds terrible. Hope they feel better so you can keep rocking the stilettos!!!
ReplyDeleteso the same thing happened to me just last month!! i would these incredibly cute heels (chocolate satin brown with a bow) to my sister's wedding and for weeks after, my toe was totally numb! it's all better now but gosh, i know how you feel! hope it gets better for you! :)
