Sweet Valley

When I was a little girl, I was a complete book-a-holic! I loved mysteries, horror stories and of course, Judy Bloom. What I absolutely lived and breathed, though, was Sweet Valley! It was what inspired me to write.

I owned every volume of Sweet Valley Kids, Sweet Valley Twins, Sweet Valley High and Sweet Valley University. I spent my birthday money on the "Super Editions", "Super Chillers" and "Magna Editions". All of my friends scoffed at my love of Sweet Valley as they bragged about their collections of Baby-Sitters Club books, but nothing could deter me from my adoration of these Californian twins!

Therefore, I am insanely pleased to announce the news that Diablo Cody (screenwriter of Juno) has signed on to write the upcoming Sweet Valley High movie! The TV series that was created in the early 90's had a certain cheese factor to it, but with Cody at the wheel, I think the upcoming movie has amazing potential!

Squeal!

  12. Shhh Jen, don't tell anyone, I used to read them too. When we moved around during my early years pre-12. They were the constant, you could get them in any country. Oh my, I hope Cody does them justice and does not make them too sarcastic.

Bruce was hilarious and Regina the best guest character.
