I die for the acoustic version of Everlong. I still remember originally hearing it, on the radio back when Howard Stern had a radio show and he just asked David, on the spot, to do the song. He had never done it acoustic before. My other picks would be "Hide and Seek" by Imogen Heep, "Teardrop" by Massive Attack and "Riverie" by the Deftones.
I'm with you on the U2 Song. Another one is Forever by Chris Brown. Even though I despise Chris Brown, when I hear that song, I can't help but think of The Office wedding with Jim & Pam.
FYI - The Hallelujah song is by Jeff Buckley but it shows clips from the movie The Edukators - but it's definitely Jeff Buckley singing, who was an incredible man and only made one album before he drowned tragically at age 30 :(
I LOVE the acoustic Everlong! Heard it the other day on the radio, and was like "wow, that song is rad!"

ReplyDeleteDefinitely Quelqu'un m'a dit by Carla Bruni and Heartbeats by José Gonzalez.. and virtually anything sung by Chrissie Hynde. Something about that voice! Where's my ipod?
ReplyDeleteWith or Without You is a classic!
