Fill in the Blank Friday

1. My favorite quote is "It is necessary to write, if the days are not to slip emptily by. How else, indeed, to clap the net over the butterfly of the moment? For the moment passes, it is forgotten; the mood is gone; life itself is gone. That is where the writer scores over his fellows: he catches the changes of his mind on the hop." -Vita Sackville-West

2. A bad habit I have is leaving old coffee in the French press. Sometimes for days.

3. The first time I felt like a "grown up" was when I made a peanut butter and marshmallow sandwich in my very own apartment and knew nobody could stop me. Mwahahaha! I then proceeded to eat tons of cookie dough and ultra sugary iced tea for months on end. It was a hyper time in my life ;)

4. Weekends are time for creativity. Joe and I bunker down with musical instruments and paints, and hope that there's something to show for it by Monday morning.

5. When I was a child I wished my name was Dawn, mainly because it had been on the table along with Jennifer. After realizing that I would always have at least two other Jennifers in my class, I craved the name Dawn!

6. I wish this year would have started out better. I had high hopes, but so far it's been one blow after the other. Come on, Universe!

7. A secret I have is that I'm a mega simulation game addict (not really sure if that's a secret anymore)! I ♥ The Sims, Sim City, Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon, FarmVille, Treasure Island and CityVille.

  1. I always enjoy reading your answers.

Let's see if I can answer a few. A bad habit I have is procrastination, while my favorite quote is by Mark Twain:

"Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt."

Now, I just need to learn to do this! ;-)

    XO,

    Sheila

  2. You and I are the same for #2. Also, my middle name is "Dawn". I like it. :)

  3. I am in love with your grown up moment! Isn't it amazing how doing something that our "kid selves" would love doing means that we are all grown up? :)
