Sweet Valley Confidential

I'm hyperventilating! I'm ecstatic! I'm absolutely frea-king out! As I've explained before, I've spent my life being madly obsessed with the Sweet Valley franchise. Well, today I saw this fabulous bit of news: Francine Pascal has written Sweet Valley Confidential, which is set to hit stores any day now! And while not set in stone, there is potential for more books to come, making Sweet Valley Confidential a new series within the franchise.

This news comes after last year's announcement that Diablo Cody (writer of Juno) is working on a Sweet Valley High movie script. Pascal made it a point to suggest that Cody keep the setting true to form in the 1980's, meaning no cell phones and other techy goodness that we've become accustomed to. I can't wait for this rush of nostalgia!
