Hourglass Cosmetics in Review

Here's my follow up to the initial Hourglass Cosmetics post, seen here. I've been so excited to come back with a full personal report because I've been floored by how incredible this makeup looks and feels.

I started by applying the VEIL Mineral Primer to a freshly washed face. It felt a little greasy for my liking as I smoothed it over my skin, but it quickly soaked in and my face felt soft and grease-free. I had forgotten that this product contains SPF 15, which is what I now attribute the initial "greasy" feeling to.

From there, I used a favorite product already in my cosmetic arsenal: Pores No More by Dr. Brandt. I love Pores No More on its own and typically use it in place of foundation, but the VEIL Mineral Primer took my look to a whole new level! My skin looked like perfect porcelain, without the heavy makeup feel.

For my eyes, I used a dark green cream shadow from NARS and lined them with the SCRIPT Precision Liquid Liner. As I mentioned in the previous Hourglass Cosmetics post, this liquid liner is the smoothest that I've ever tried. The shape of the applicator gave me so much control- I didn't have to clean up any stray spots when I was done!

From there, I did a light eyelash curl and tried the FILM NOIR Mascara. The formula was thick on the brush, which made me a little nervous, but went on surprisingly thin! Thin works for me because it allows me to build my lashes up without hassling with clumps.

I finished my look off with a little light blush and the PRODIGY Hydrating Lip Gloss in Ingenue. It was perfectly girly without looking too princessy.

I thought that my overall look was so much more polished than usual that I chanced asking my boyfriend if he noticed a difference. You never know what you're going to get when you ask a guy, but he actually mirrored my sentiments without me saying anything first!
