Mad Tea Party

{hop on over to our hostess' tea party when you're done}

I fell asleep and dreamed of a rabbit hole near the watery bank
where I tried a tasty treat and then mysteriously shrank.
Through wooded paths adorned with ancient masks
I took a little tea from my whimsical flask.
Bigger than big, I kissed the top of a tree
but decided to lick my little treat to go back to regular size me.
Through fire cotton weeds
I danced for the rabbit because for him it so pleased.
The sky began to darken to a lovely clouded blue
as my view of the sun became wildly askew.
I came upon a garden with gloomy flowers all in a bed,
Oh, how they wanted me to paint them crimson red.
I heard a loud shriek from the Queen and hid in the Bell Shade,
her voice was thunderous and I was so very afraid!
I knew I must awake with a sip of whimsical jitters
so I took a deep drink and into reality I flittered.
Once my eyes popped open I reached for my vintage parasol
and skipped home with a story that would be sure to enthrall!
The art prints pictured in this tea party post are on sale in the Haute Whimsy Etsy shop for $13 (such a magical number)! Take peek to see what else is listed today :)

  29. So sorry I am late
    For this important date.
I'm still making my way down the list.

    With too little time
    I'm leaving this rhyme
For I'm adamant about wanting to persist.

    All this running about
Has left me dry in the mouth.
Might I have a cup of tea?

    Like the billowy clouds
    your lymric words
    have softly taken me

    Oh my, the time
    It goes so fast
I must be on my way

    But fear not friend
    I shall return
    Please……Have a beautiful day.

  30. a very lovely party
    such great views to see!

    oh so very shrewd,
    to keep us all glued.

    In hopes of a sale,
    you tell us a tale.
    I do thank thee
    as it was pretty!

however, I must leave in haste
as I've no coin to waste.
and many others wait for me
    to share what they see!

Many blessings for you and kin
    perhaps I'll see you again
    In the meantime I invite
you to my tea party tonight.

    Susan
