Summer Fashion Series- Janet Hill Studio

{Shoe Shop}

Welcome to the 2011 Summer Fashion Series! I'm so excited to bring a fabulous collection of fashion artisans to the Haute Whimsy table! To kick off the series, I'd like to introduce you to a mind-blowing painter.

Janet Hill is a Canadian artist who attended Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, where she specialized in oil painting and graduated with honors. While she paints a myriad of subjects, she finds a place in our Summer Fashion Series with her fashionable paintings.

These paintings depict timeless ladies in vintage attire, reminiscent of Mad Men and Grace Kelly.

{The Sewing Room}

{French Dressing}

{Austen Dresses}

{A Portrait of Ms. Frost}

{Skirt}

{The Grace Kelly Purse}

{Little Wings}

You can purchase giclee prints of her paintings in her Etsy shop, and can even (if you're quick and lucky) snag an original oil painting! You can also find her here:

So, let me ask you ... which print do desperately want?! I'm pretty I need "Flashy" in my home office, next to my collection of vintage cameras!
