Yes! Yes! Yes! A billion times - YES! It's officially (in my mind at least) holiday season! The space between Thanksgiving and December 1st is a necessary lull, but now it's time to deck some halls and trim some trees!
The past couple of years have been fairly blah and "Bah, humbug!"-esque for me but, while this year is a little extra tight, I'm more excited than I've been in a long time. I usually have to rally in order to get myself to decorate and find my festive spirit, but this year is so different for some reason. I can't explain it, but I like it!
I have a couple of Christmas parties on the agenda, a cookie baking day and a holiday light neighborhood stroll. There will be plenty of Glühwein and holiday tunes, Elf and Santa Claus: The Movie
(the 1985 classic, NOT the Tim Allen movie!). Hee hee - so excited!

Dear Jen, so happy that you are easily getting into the Christmas Holiday Season feeling. Just lovely. Don't wonder why. Just have fun and enjoy it, to the fullest. :-)
ReplyDeleteMe'thinks most everyone's finances are a bit strapped this year. (lousy economy and all) But we can still enjoyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy the feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeling.
Gentle hugs,
"The orange-scented zephyrs stirred, the branches rustled, and the tinsel crackled like merry music, to which the sparkling lights danced."
~~E.T.A. Hoffman "The Nutcracker"
Gorgeous quote. And I am super excited this. I just put up my tree!
