A Whimsical Way to Lose Weight

{Clothing Goal: Blanc Essential Cuffed Jean and Poppy Print Cotton Sundress via White House Black Market; Pink Bikini via Victoria's Secret; One with the Rosettes Dress via Ruche}

I didn't make any solid New Years Resolutions for 2012. I simply resolved that this would be a better year than last. I liked the go with the flow feeling of not having a to-do list right off the bat, but what I've come to realize is that nothing substantial is getting done!

Namely, I haven't had the obligatory weight loss that a resolution brings. Here we are, approaching Spring already, and I won't dare don my cute Spring outfits until some sort of weight loss goal has been met.

While pondering my little (er, 15 pound) dilemma, I realized that I'm not a gym girl. Being 30 now, I'm not a crash diet girl, either. I've grown out of that crap and want to be able to have my cake and eat it, too - so to speak. And then I had an epiphany ...

Over the years, I've learned quite a bit about nutrition via classes, health books, personal research, lovely blogs around the interwebs and Dr. Oz (don't laugh, that man is a genius!). I realized that I can lose weight, get in shape and, most importantly, get healthy in the most whimsical of ways.

Enter "The Whimsy Diet". I'm going to take Haute Whimsy readers on a journey of whimsical healthy foods and whimsical movements in order to achieve a lifestyle that is both fun and healthy. I'm really excited and hope that you will join me starting Monday, March 5th. Losing weight with friends can be so much fun!

  1. So excited to see this journey as I myself am looking to lose the last of my baby weight! :)

  2. Congrats on making this decision! This reminds me of when I vowed to "bring sexy back" almost two years ago....I haven't been quite as successful as I would have liked, but it's still a work in progress.....

  3. Jules, I would love to have you join me! Day 1 has gone well. It gave me a great excuse to gather all of my tea cups!

    Eliza, I think that "bringing sexy back" is a fantastic vow! Thanks for the song that's now stuck in my head ;) iPod, where are you ...
