31st Birthday at Disneyland: Part 2!

{Arriving at Disneyland}

As promised, here is part 2 of my Disneyland birthday extravaganza! I spent the day after my birthday icing my foot and dosing myself with ibuprofen which was apparently the best course of action. I also opted for my old pair of Sketchers Shape-ups because of the rolling action that they provide. I had a hunch that it would take the pressure off of my pulled tendon, and it worked like a charm! I'm a self-appointed fashion doctor ;)

{Our first stop was Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria at Downtown Disney for lunch}

{Once we were sufficiently full of margherita pizza, we hurried to line up for Space Mountain where we had the "pleasure" of waiting 90 minutes behind this horrifically snotty ill couple - shudder}

{After thoroughly washing our hands, we settled into New Orleans Square for Mickey shaped beignets ...}

{Mint Juleps ...}

{and jazz!}

{I introduced Joe to the new Star Tours ride before leaving Disneyland and crossing over to Disney California Adventure}

{Since Joe got to ride Star Tours, I got to ride one of my very favorites: the Silly Symphony Swings!}

{We tried a new Mediterranean place at the park which was incredible!}

{Joe took artsy utensil photos}

{I took artsy Joe photos}

{We rode Goofy's Flight School with a blind man which was such a cool experience - he loved it!}

{We caught a bit of the World of Color show}

{Then took advantage of the distracted crowd who left Ariel's Undersea Adventure line-less as they continued to watch World of Color}

{We caught a spectacular fireworks show before leaving the park}

{On a serious hunt for late night coffee, we discovered the Hearthstone Lounge at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel!}

Once our coffee cups were empty and our eyes a little less heavy, we made our way home where we loaded up on echinacea in hopes of not catching whatever germs that nasty couple had, snuggled with the cats and caught up on some of our neglected recorded TV shows (such as New Girl, Fringe, Grimm and Revolution).

So here I am, 31 and ready for a fantastic year of reaching goals, creating lasting memories and making great use of my annual Disney pass!
