31st Birthday at Disneyland: Part 1!

October is my favorite month, not just because it's pumpkin season and the month of my blog anniversary; October is also my birthday month! I often find myself at Disneyland  to celebrate my adulthood (seriously, can you think of  a better way?!), and this year was no different. My birthday started off with a midnight call from my dad which absolutely melted my heart, then a call from my mom shortly after. I awoke to a sweet card from my boyfriend with two annual Disney passes inside, and then I had lunch with my family before heading off to the most magical place on Earth!

Here's a recap of my birthday weekend ...

 {A lunch of delicious curry with my family}

 {A cake laced with 31 candles}

{Sweet gifts and heartwarmingly hilarious cards}

{A quick trip to Starbucks for a pre-Disneyland pick-me-up!}

{A warm car on a rainy day, a cup of coffee and driving to Disneyland. It's the little things!}

  {Beautiful rainbows}

{Waiting for the tram to Downtown Disney}

{"The Halloween Tree" that Disneyland dedicated to Ray Bradbury. I actually bought the book just a week before this was taken!}

{A little reminder to my future self!}

{Spiced Caramel Apple Cider at the Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe}
{Dinner and drinks at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen at Downtown Disney}

{Giant clovey Hefeweizens. We got to keep the glasses!}

{Dueling pianos in the other room at The Jazz Kitchen played all sorts of awesomeness!}

{We ate fried green tomatoes - yum!}

{Incredible birthday beignets courtesy of our waitress}

{I didn't get a chance to buy Mickey ears since the park closed early, so I made my own}

{We finally left the restaurant after the dueling pianos came to an end hours later ...}

{Walked through a deserted Downtown Disney ...}

{Happened upon a lot filled with sleepy trams ...}

{Found our car ...}

{And made it to our hotel!}

I pulled something in my foot so instead of heading back to Disneyland the next day like we had planned, we went home to recoup and then made it back the day after that. I'll post part 2 tomorrow!

    1. It's amazing, but also their busiest season which makes for VERY long lines and sold out hotels.

    1. Thanks, Justine! I've only been to Disneyland, but my friend is a Disney World travel agent and is always trying to get me to go. If only the plane tickets were more affordable!
