Exercising with Just Dance 4!

{My friend and I are dancing outside the theatre after the anniversary re-release of Dirty Dancing. I'm so excited that Just Dance 4 has (I've Had) The Time of My Life on its playlist!)

You might remember my love of fun exercise - you know, the kind that doesn't actually seem like exercise at all (Hollywood hikes, hula-hooping, rollerskating at the beach, swinging at the park, long walks at Disneyland!).

Dancing is my absolute favorite form of exercise, though. It's the one activity that can spend and give energy in a cyclical way, which enables the dancer to exercise for longer durations while having a fantastic time doing so. It's the best!

When I was in high school, my best friend and I used to get together on the weekends and have dance parties in my bedroom. This was back when MTV still played music videos, and we'd switch up between mimicking their moves and creating our own. Once we graduated and reality television took over our music TV, we pretty much gave up on the dance parties and carried on with our adult lives. I'm thinking that now is the time to get back to our awesome "girl's nights in" since Just Dance 4 is newly released and is on Amazon.com as the Gold Box Deal of the Day today at only $22.99! I need to own it and need to call Crystal over for an old school dance party, pronto!

It wouldn't really be all that old school, now that I think about it. The new Just Dance 4 features a dance battle mode. Crystal and I have never dance battled before, but we're definitely both competitive people so I think it would be a super fun edition! I also heard that players have Dance Quests which had me jumping up and down with excitement. Regardless of the game, I LOVE QUESTS!

The game's playlist is a great mix of new and old music, featuring Christina Aguilera, Elvis Presley, They Might Be Giants, The B-52's, Nicki Minaj, Britney Spears, Flo Rida and so many more (basically, straight from my iPod). Sorry downstairs neighbors, I'm about to bring the music (and dance) with Just Dance 4 very soon!
