There's nothing better than a quirky movie with a dreamy feel, in my opinion. I fell head over heels for The Virgin Suicides, and I loved Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I also enjoyed The Royal Tenenbaums, which is why I'm ridiculously excited about finally watching Moonrise Kingdom (both of which were directed by Wes Anderson, FYI).
From what I've seen of the previews, Moonrise Kingdom has a particular aesthetic that reminds me of some of my favorite Etsy art shops! It feels like all of my loves are colliding with this film, so I can't help but sit down with a big bowl of sea salted popcorn later this week and indulge my artsy sensibilities.
Are there any movies that shake you to your core (in the best of ways, of course!)?
P.S. The Virgin Suicides is also a book! I bought it when I turned 21 and it lives on my bookshelf to this day.
