Serial Monogamist

A friend of mine once dubbed me as a serial monogamist. I've had three serious relationships in my life, all fairly consecutively. Truly, I never meant for that to happen! I'm not one of those girls who needs a man in her life, but you wouldn't know it from my track record. Each time I've started a new relationship, my intent has always been to date. Simple as that. Just date.

The "problem" is that I'm good at communicating and I don't take shiz from any man. So basically, I eliminate all major sources of strife in a relationship right off the bat and they just work out ... indefinitely! On one hand, I do wish that I had dated more before settling down; on the other hand, I'm glad that I didn't have to sift through a bunch of BS in search of a good guy.

My friend is partially correct. I suppose I am a serial monogamist. I'd like to add a qualifier, though, and change it to accidental serial monogamist!

Coming up next: "Something you read online. Leave a link and discuss, if you'd like."

  1. I, too, am a serial monogamist. I've been fortunate enough to date good guys as well. The difference is, even though they were good guys, they were probably never meant to be my good guy. I was just able to make it work.
Anyway, all's well that ends well. I've found my good guy.
I love that you added the word "accidental" to the label! It's much more accurate for a lot of us, I bet!
By the by, thank you for using my print in your post. It looks good here! :)
