I love small businesses, especially family owned businesses. They tend to have superb customer service, quality products and charm that delivers a unique experience in addition to the product. Case in point: Uncorked Ventures!

I was thrilled to partner with Mark and Matt, the brothers behind this company which was started after a family vacation to South America. These brothers share a passion for good food and great wine, and they realized on that fateful trip that they shared a vision. Each of them agreed that they wanted to offer artisanal wines to the world through thoughtfully curated wine club memberships.

With three wine club options to meet a variety of price points, there's something for everyone at Uncorked Ventures. I sampled the "Explorations" wine club which came with a bottle of white and a bottle of red. As you can see from the photos above, I started with the red!

I opened the 2010 Keefer Ranch Pinot Noir in celebration of my boyfriend's work on an upcoming Body Glove film. He submitted the final draft of the music that he scored, and we clinked glasses over our favorite pasta. Normally, I'd pair a red sauce with a heartier wine. This pasta dish is surprisingly light, though, and welcomed the slight fruitiness and soft tannins of this Pinot Noir. We were both instant fans!

2 things to note:

  • Due to the close relationships that Mark and Matt have forged with winemakers along the west coast, the per bottle cost breakdown proves that their prices can't be beat.

I couldn't have been any more happy with my Uncorked Ventures experience! I looking forward to sharing the bottle of white with my bestie. She loves her wine ;) Check back soon for peek at the rest of my wine club shipment.

P.S. You can follow Uncorked Ventures on Facebook!

  1. What a fun idea! I'm not much of a wine drinker, but mostly because I just have NO idea what's good so something like this would actually be fairly interesting because it sounds like I don't have to really pick and can just benefit from someone else's knowledge. I'll definitely have to show this to Ammon too because unlike me he actually does know a bit about wine, and definitely has a good appreciation for it =o)
BTW ... the noodles look yummy, and you two are as beautiful/handsome as ever! =o)

    1. Wine clubs are GREAT! No deciding, just trying new things as they come. You guys should do a wine tasting date sometime!
