I probably needn't state the obvious: Haute Whimsy slowed to a halt at the end of last year and the first part of 2014. Sometimes the things we enjoy most must sit patiently on the back burner while life works itself behind closed doors. That being said, I've thought about Haute Whimsy every single day and have been itching to get back "home" here on the blog. How does one jump back into something which feels abandoned, though? I've been trying to work that out for weeks.
The answer stared me in the face(book) tonight! My friend's little sister posted a challenge on Facebook that felt like the perfect thing to bring to Haute Whimsy: the #100HappyDays Project. It goes a little something like this ...
Every single day, for 100 days, you post a picture of something that made you happy that day. I almost always have a camera on hand, so it makes perfect sense to document the things that make life so wonderful. I can't wait to look at the world through my lens and find new joy in the little things that I might otherwise overlook. It's always the little things, right?
Let me know if you choose to participate in the #100HappyDays project as well :)
